A Sundered Turn: Player + GM View
You have your own pool of Source.
You know it has to last.
But if you don’t act, what’s the point of all that power?

Personal Economy

These are the choices and resources:
- Spend Source / Movement — Use Core Actions, enhance attacks, or boost spells.
- Roll Check — d20 + Ability Mod (+ Proficiency if proficient) vs target’s relevant ability score.
- Resolve Outcome — Deal base damage (Ability Mod + Proficiency) plus any Source Dice (SD) committed.
- Apply Effects — If you passed the DC/Targeted Check, apply the effects of your technique.
This is what you can do outside your turn:
- React / Counter — Spend Source (SD) to block, parry, dodge, or counterspell.
Example: A Sundered Turn
- On her turn: Vera moves 10ft to close the distance on her quarry and spends 20ft of movement to make a Core Action: Attack, committing +1 Source to boost its damage. (Agility vs target’s Agility).
- Outside Vera’s turn: An enemy casts a level 1 spell targeting her Constitution.
She spends 20ft of Unspent Movement and 1 Source to roll a counterspell check, adding her Knowledge + Proficiency vs the caster’s roll.
She succeeds on the check and rolls 3 Source Dice (SD) to determine how much damage is mitigated.
